The piece of artwork created together with Jan Sajdak on the Landart Festiwal 2019
It is the composition of two sculptures – figures made of sticks found in the area – and of the landscape around, arranged in part by us.
Both figures are walking towards each other through a short mown meadow. There is just a space for a couple of steps more between them before they meet. One of them leaves behind a trace of high grass and blooming herbs. Other one, itself burned charcoal black, leaves behind a trace of ashes and barren earth.
Those two trends – taking care of the natural world and mindless destruction of nature in search of profit – are present in our civilization since its beginnings. Little more time they can coexist in a such way. We will abandon the second trend soon, or we will face extinction.
